Keep in mind that there are not many flights into Bermuda each day, so if you miss your connection, you’re basically stuck at the airport until the next afternoon. Also, Bermuda is on island time, baby! So, the L.F. Wade International Airport doesn’t really have many options for late arrivals, and the US Customs and Border Protection (USCBP) operating hours are 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. daily.
Travel Tip! Unless you live in Charlotte and can take a direct flight to Bermuda, we do NOT recommend catching a connecting flight from the Charlotte airport. Read the reviews for yourself but it’s horrible! The connection times are SO tight (like 20-30 minutes) that it seems virtually impossible get from one gate to another on time to catch your flight to Bermuda. Avoid the pre-trip stress and anxiety and fly through a different connecting city.
